Welcome to the Moorcock Inn at Garsdale, ideally situated at the tip of Wensleydale in the heart of some of the most beautiful walking country in England. Renowned for its ever open doors, the established owners,, Caz and Cathryn and their long running team of staff continue to open all day through the summer months, offering a warm and friendly welcome to locals and visitors alike.Standing on the A684, 5 miles from Hawes and 10 miles from Sedbergh, the Moorcock's old white walls are a welcome sight for any weary and thirsty traveller. On stepping inside, its unique combination of old world charm and youthful flair has created a Yorkshire Dales retreat that people continue to visit again and again.We have varied menus available for most of the day, including traditional foods alongside our celebrated specials board and our Tapas menu- all with a strong focus on local produce wherever possible. We have 4 proper hand pull ales all of which are used for promoting our local breweries and we have an excellent selection of wines, spirits and over 50 malt whiskies.We have a good local trade and many of our guests enjoy an evening sat by our fire chatting with the locals.Children are very welcome at our Inn and we have a family room which can sleep up to 2 adults, 2 children and a baby and we have a snug area in the bar which is ideal for families- away from the bar and equipped with children's books, crayons and colouring materials. We are very pet friendly in all areas of the pub except one bedroom which we reserve for anyone with allergies or pet issues.We are gay friendly.

We are situated on the A684, 5 miles from Hawes and 12 miles from Sedbergh. We are also on the main junction to Kirkby Stephen which is 13 miles away. The M6 is 18 miles away, just come off at jct 37 to KendalSedbergh, follow signs to Sedbergh and then on to GarsdaleHawes. We are 12 mile from Garsdale Railway Station which is situated on the Settle-Carlisle Route.
